Elsewhere, each saved file keeps its folder path in the name, so two files called report.pdf from different folders never overwrite each other.

iPhone and iPad
iOS can unzip through the Files app, but it hides the result inside a folder that is easy to lose. Opening the archive here shows the contents in a plain list, so you can pull out the single PDF you actually wanted and send it straight on.
Windows and Mac
Both have built-in extraction, but this is quicker when the archive arrived in the browser anyway. On desktop Chrome or Edge, Extract to folder lets you choose a destination and recreates the archive’s folders exactly.
ZIP, RAR and 7z — what is the difference?
All three bundle files together, but they use different formats. ZIP is the universal one that every operating system reads without extra software, which is why it is the safest choice when sending files to someone else. Does it open password-protected ZIP files?
No. Encrypted archives are not supported - you would need a desktop tool for those.
